The second meeting of heads of National statistical offices of eco member states may 27-28, 2010, Astana, Kazakhstan

On 27-28^th of May the Agency of statistics of the Republic of Kazakhstan jointly with the Economic Cooperation Organization holds the Second Meeting of Heads of National Statistical Offices of Member Countries of ECO.

The Meeting is attended by the Heads of statistical offices of Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkey,

Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, as well as representatives of international organizations.

This meeting is the main high-level forum in the field of statistics in the region.
In the frameworks of the meeting issues of statistical cooperation and other relevant topics affecting the work of national statistical offices will be discussed. The use of administrative sources in the production of statistical data is of particular importance to the Agency of statistics of Kazakhstan. Following the results of discussions a final report will be adopted.
